Crimean texts
[Transcribed by Megan Stevens]
Sir, — I beg to forward you a few extracts from my meteorological journal, which a friend of mine, one of your correspondents, has informed me may perhaps, at the present time, prove interesting to your general readers. In all probability, I shall be stationed at Balaklava during the winter. I shall be happy to send you a table by every post, provided you consider it worthy of your attention.
I remain, Sir, your most obedient servant,
EDWARD PEARCE.
